Palm Beach State College brings global learning to campus with “Taste of the World"
Palm Beach State College’s Office of International Education hosted "Taste of the World" on Jan. 27 in partnership with Student Activities, inviting students to explore global learning and study abroad opportunities while connecting with peers from across cultures.
Held at the Lake Worth campus, the event brought together students eager to build community, learn about international education, and get involved with the Global Panthers Students Club (GPS). Through interactive activities and discussions, Taste of the World encouraged cross-cultural engagement and highlighted the transformative impact of studying abroad.
"Opportunities like these reflect our commitment to global learning, student engagement, and preparing our students to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world," said Dr. Jehu Chong, associate dean for online and international education.
The event supported PBSC’s mission of enriching the student experience through diversity, inclusion and global learning.
Students can continue that journey later this month. On Feb. 24, from 12 to 3 p.m., PBSC will host "Around the World" at the Panther Plaza on the Lake Worth campus in celebration of International Study Abroad Day. The event will feature games, prizes, and a simulated travel experience, once again in partnership with Student Activities.
Faculty and students are encouraged to join, learn about international programs, and continue building connections that extend beyond the classroom.
